aLAF 2006 Bulletin 3 - March 27th 2006

1. aLAF 2006 Starts This Week….

aLAF 2006 kicks off this week on Thursday 30th March, at 7pm in the Front Lounge on Parliament Street, Dublin 2. Artwork by Leanne Hurley and Yvonne Hennessy.

Grainne Close & Shannon Sickle are our special guests from Belfast, and will help launch the start of another years fun packed weekend.

Friday 31st March will be the return of the annual Grrrl Rock night in The George, South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, at 8pm.

Saturday 1st April - Ladybirds art exhibition, 6pm at the OUThouse, 105 Capel Street, Dublin 1. Club night to be confirmed…(watch this space)

Sunday 2nd April - Wind down - Play up, a night of naughty games and comedy, 7pm, Gubu, Capel Street, Dublin 1. With performance by Louise Killeen

2. Cancellation of Snackbox @ Mischief & Affinity @ IFI

We are sorry to say that due to renovations being carried out at Mischief, Snackbox will not be taking place over the aLAF weekend.

Due to the aLAF festival, Affinity was also cancelled so as not to clash with any aLAF events. So Affinity @ the IFI is now on Saturday April 15th.

This has therefore left Saturday 1st April Lesbian Club-less! However, the trusty aLAF crew are working on another Saturday night club - watch this space, and keep checking the website for updates (venue to be confirmed).

1. REMINDER: aLAF L-Word Pub Quiz Extravaganza Saturday, 11th March!

Our first event of 2006 is a L-Word fundraiser to set the hearts pulsing. Brush up on your trivia and bring your creative thinking hats and your viewing goggles, sit back and enjoy the view of extremely hot, well dressed, sexy, good looking, well-toned, nice assed, gorgeous LA lesbians! Oh yeah there will be some questions thrown in there somewhere too….

For those of you who have not seen it yet don't worry we will not be giving anything away. Saturday 11th March 5.30PM (START 6PM SHARP) The George (Sth Great Georges Street, Dublin 2) €6 per head (max 5 per team) FAVOURITE SCENES ON THE BIG SCREEN (Previous viewing not necessary) MC's Gringo & friends: Una & Ciaran Great prizes on offer!
